Video Image Control and Display System (VICADS) Deployed as Part of I-81 Corridor System Integrator Contract

STAUNTON, VA -- Open Roads Consulting Inc., a leading developer of integrated solutions for the Transportation and Security markets, announces the deployment of the Video Image Control and Display System (VICADS) at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Staunton Smart Traffic Center (STC) along the I-81 Corridor in Virginia as part of the I-81 System Integrator contract. VICADS is being used to monitor traffic, manage incidents, and work zones along the I-81 Corridor. VICADS was integrated with the VDOT's statewide video distribution system. VICADS provides a video over IP solution using existing network equipment and infrastructure to control and monitor video cameras. Video surveillance and camera control is available to any authorized workstation connected to the network.
