Open Roads Consulting Inc. Expands Staff

Chesapeake, VA -- Open Roads Consulting Inc. announced today a major business development initiative for their ITS Division to further extend software solutions based on its' OpenTMS™ product. This technology was designed to meet the emerging needs of statewide and city transportation operations including statewide traffic management, advanced traveler information, emergency response, and integrated corridor management.

Eugene Waara has joined Open Roads as the new Business Development Director. In his new role, Eugene will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales programs including working directly with key partners within the ITS community. Steve Beckwith, Vice President of Open Roads states "We are very excited about Eugene joining our firm to lead this initiative. With our depth of quality software and systems engineers along with our financial backing, Open Roads is well positioned and prepared for this endeavor."

Eugene has over 25 years experience leading business development efforts for enterprise level solutions. Transportation government agencies are continually challenged with the integration of critical and timely information into advanced traveler information systems including 511, implementing interoperability between traffic centers, and integrating emergency and weather information to further enhance transportation information available for traffic operation centers," affirmed Eugene.

Also joining Open Roads is John Horner. John has a M.S. in Computer Science and over 16 years of experience in software engineering. Along with John's software expertise, he also holds a Masters in Civil Engineering specializing in Transportation systems. "We are very pleased to have John on-board.
