OpenTMS™ Enterprise featured in ITS VA Journal
In the March 2011 issue of the Intelligent Transportation Society of Virginia's Journal, OpenTMS Enterprise is featured as one of the ways VDOT is making smarter use of existing roadway capacity to combat Virginia's ever-increasing traffic congestion problems..
Open Roads is currently partnered with VDOT to deploy OpenTMS version 7 in four of the five regional operations centers. New modules in this version add Shoulder Lane Control, HOV Gate Control, Ramp Metering and Travel Time to its Active Traffic Management (ATM) Suite.

OpenTMS™ Enterprise Suite, Version 7.0 Deployed at VDOT
Open Roads Consulting announces the release of OpenTMS Enterprise Suite Version 7. OpenTMS Enterprise Suite is an industry leading off-the-shelf Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) used by Transportation Operations Centers to reduce congestion, improve safety, and increase mobility.

OpenCRS™ Launched - A New Roadway Data Fusion and Condition Reporting System
Open Roads Consulting, Inc. announces the release of OpenCRS – a roadway data fusion and condition reporting system to support real-time traffic operations and traveler information. OpenCRS collects and aggregates road condition, incident data, and scheduled planned events to help operators and stakeholders coordinate road and lane closures, better manage critical infrastructure, and disseminate alerts to the traveling public via 511 telephony, web, and social messaging systems.
OpenCRS is designed to meet the needs of state and regional agencies seeking a scalable, flexible architecture for managing and exchanging incident, event, and weather condition data with key stakeholders and the traveling public. OpenCRS may be installed as a stand-alone application or configured to be integrated with other core ITS systems such as 511 phone and website applications, and Traffic Management Systems.

Open Roads launches ATMS in Peoria, Illinois
On September 1st, 2009, Open Roads Consulting, Inc. launched a new Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS) in Peoria, Illinois for the Illinois Department of Transportation. Awarded in April 2009, this effort included the ATMS deployment with an enhanced browser-based user interface, integration of emergency services 911 data, public works, at grade rail crossing detection, video management, and command and control of all ITS devices. “Open Roads has been an exceptional partner to the Illinois Department of Transportation”, states Mr. Randall K. Open Roads Introduces RTIMIS in West Virginia
Open Roads Consulting, Inc. announces the deployment of its RTIMISTM system in West Virginia. RTIMIS (Real-time Traffic Incident Management Information System) greatly enhances the regional situational awareness within the West Virginia Department of Highways (WVDOH) by enabling seamless data integration between the Charleston Traffic Management Center (TMC), the Metro 911 Dispatch Emergency Communications Center (ECC) and the Cabell County 911 Computer-Aided-Dispatch (CAD) system. Data from each independent source are shared, viewed, and disseminated amongst all stakeholders via a web browser.
