Open Roads to develop Regional Transportation Incident Management
Information System (RTIMIS)
The Hampton Roads Metropolitan Planning Organization has engaged
Open Roads to develop the Regional Transportation Incident Management
Information System (RTIMIS). This system is a web-based application
wherein members of the incident management community can better
communicate and exchange information. Where possible, it automates
information sharing tasks to reduce the burden imposed on operators
and responders. With better information access, individual agencies
are able to fulfill their particular mission, and thus contribute to the
overall goal of a safe and efficient transportation system.
