Data Processing
The ADMS provides extensive data preprocessing, which identifies and
compensates for erroneous or abnormal data. For example, based on historic
data obtained for a detector for a particular time of day and day of the week,
the probability of occurrence of the current traffic data record is determined. This
value is used to allow stakeholders to easily identify unusual traffic conditions for
further analysis. Additionally, it can be used to estimate missing or erroneous data
so that in situations where there are intermittent data interruptions, the data
can be salvaged for analytical efforts.
Web-based Interface
Data is accessible at multiple aggregations and formats via the web-based user interface that provides:
- Real-time web-based GIS map with colorized roadway segments and data display;
- Easy to use query capability including temporal, spatial, and categorical search criteria;
- Graphing and plotting capability;
- Ability to export data in Excel, XML, or text format; and
- On-line help and metadata.
Data Mining Tools
The ADMS provides numerous data mining services exist that support
mobility measures, emergency planning, simulation data preparation, air
quality analysis, traffic predictions, and operational activities such as
identifying the most similar past incidents to a current incident for assessment purposes.
