Technical Writer/Document Writer/Software Tester – Chesapeake, VA
Open Roads Consulting, Inc., a software development and consulting firm that offers clients reliable, high-quality solutions to their transportation needs and provides security products and solutions to the military, is seeking a Technical Writer/Document Writer/Software Tester for our corporate office in Chesapeake, VA.
This position will support our Transportations and Security Divisions by assisting with the technical writing of documents, reviewing and editing software documentation and providing assistance to the QA/QC department by conducting software testing as needed. This person must have the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks assigned.

Ideal Candidate Skills Include:
Experience with XML and structured authoring concepts
Experience using Crystal Reports or other SAP Business Objects products
Experience writing technical documentation
Commitment to excellence and ability to work with other teams that strive for success
Design, implement, and execute test scenarios and cases
Create, implement, and execute test plans and test scripts
Utilize testing tools for test automation and support
Manage and record identified bugs in an issue tracking database
Provide analysis, reporting and quality metrics on testing efforts
Assist in technical testing efforts including system testing and performance testing
Provide production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects
Perform analysis of, and reporting on defects reported by end-users
Assist in implementation of QA standards and continual improvement activities
Create and Maintain product user documentation
